      In Kazan, on the pedestrian street Baumana, from the Kazan Clock to the Millennium Square, 24 video surveillance IP cameras have been installed. The cameras are intended to record acts of vandalism and other offenses, as well as to enhance public safety, reports the Kazan mayor's office. The equipment is equipped with a resolution of five megapixels and night vision functionality. The cameras record continuously, allowing for the capture of faces and details of events at any time of day. Video recordings will be stored for 30 days. In case of offenses, the materials are planned to be promptly sent to police departments. In the future, similar cameras are planned to be installed on Profsoyuznaya Street.
