The Ministry of Education has developed a new training standard for grades 10-11.

      The Ministry of Education of Russia has prepared a new educational standard for students in grades 10-11. This was reported by an expert from the department, the head of the Institute of Content and Teaching Methods named after V.S. Lednev, Maxim Kostenko. According to him, the changes will come into effect on September 1, 2027, but educational institutions should start preparing now. "Starting from September 1, 2027, significant changes await high school, two of which are key. Although the standard comes into effect in a year and a half, schools should not wait until the last moment: they should start analyzing parents' requests, designing curricula, and planning the purchase of educational equipment now," Kostenko noted in a conversation with "RIA Novosti". One of the key innovations will be the update of the approach to specialized education. Students will be able to either study all subjects at a basic level or choose an advanced direction. At the same time, existing profiles will be preserved with the possibility of creating specialized classes, including medical, engineering, and linguistic ones. In addition, the standard establishes requirements for equipping classrooms. "The second significant change is that the standard clearly regulates what equipment should be in each subject classroom – from digital laboratories for chemistry and physics to binocular microscopes and rocket models," he emphasized.

      According to the expert, the innovations are aimed at developing practice-oriented education in all schools across the country.
