Today, the court issued a verdict for Marina Petrova, accused of committing a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the investigation, the woman, using her official position at LLC "World Tour+", embezzled funds from 127 victims. The company provided services for the purchase of tourist packages but failed to fulfill its obligations.
Petrova is accused of fraudulently stealing funds amounting to 13.9 million rubles, paid by clients for the packages. The court classified the defendant's actions as fraud committed on a particularly large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
As a result, Petrova was sentenced to 3 years in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony.
