      Yesterday, April 2, 2026, at about 22:20, on Mayakovsky Street in Laishево, a DPS crew of the OGIBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Laishевский district stopped a young man who was riding a pitbike — a sports motorcycle not permitted for use on public roads. The driver, born in 2006, a resident of Laishево, did not have a driver's license. As a result, protocols were drawn up against him for the following articles of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation: 12.7 part 1 — driving a vehicle by a driver without the right to drive; 12.1 part 1 — driving an unregistered vehicle; 12.15 part 1 — violation of speed limits leading to an accident; 12.25 part 2 — disobedience to a lawful demand to stop; 12.27 part 1 — leaving the scene of an accident; 12.37 part 2 — driving a vehicle without a valid OSAGO policy. The pitbike was seized and placed in a specialized guarded parking lot.

      “Pitbike is not a toy. This is a motorcycle capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. On a city street — with pedestrians, cars, traffic lights — it poses a deadly threat,” emphasized the head of the OGIBDD of the Laishевский Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rail Islamov. The raid was part of a large-scale preventive campaign aimed at curbing violations among motorcycle drivers. According to the head of the traffic police, similar operations will be conducted regularly.

      “Pitbikes, ATVs, mini-scooters have no place on public roads if there are no appropriate documents. They can only move freely on closed, specialized areas — in racetracks, children's parks with fences, in specially designated zones. On the streets, this is not a 'chase for the wind,' but a risk to the lives of children, the elderly, and other drivers,” added Rail Islamov.
