On the Kazanka River near the "Chasha," they plan to create a complex of docks and a sailing school.

      On the banks of the Kazanka River near the Family Center "Kazan," plans are underway to create a sports and tourism complex that will include a children's and student sailing school. This was shared in an interview with RBC Tatarstan by Vyacheslav Egorov, the head of the "Parusa" group of companies and chairman of the Student Federation of Sailing Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the interviewee, the sailing school will not be closed – an open space format is expected. "There will be open house days, competitions at the Russian and republican levels, families will be able to visit, budget tourists will be able to come, get into a boat with a professional instructor, and ride for half an hour on the river to try it out and receive a master class," he explained. Additionally, a boat station for the tourism complex is planned to be built here, near the "Chasha," along with a place for storing river vessels. "<...> we will create a complex of docks in Kazan. Several licensed fleets will participate in the transportation," Egorov clarified. The businessman added that considering other projects for the development of the Kazanka riverbank near the Family Center, this area could attract up to 600,000 people annually. He estimated the cost of implementing the initiative at approximately 300 million rubles. Furthermore, a dock is also planned to be equipped near the "Riviera" hotel. Near the Millennium Bridge, an engineering and creative center of the future is to be established in collaboration with ecologists from Kazan and Tatarstan. According to Egorov's estimates, the project near the "Riviera" will cost about 100 million rubles, while the center near the Millennium Bridge will cost 200 million. In all three cases, it will involve both the company's own funds and attracted investments. In addition, a place for water recreation, model boating, remote-controlled yachts, and so on is planned to be created on the Lokomotiv peninsula on the Volga River. The head of the Kazan Sailing Sports Federation, Rinat Arslanov, is responsible for implementing this initiative. Sailing regattas are also planned there, including team events (for example, for participants of bus tours, which will help attract an additional flow of guests to the capital of Tatarstan).

      In this regard, Egorov noted that the Student Federation of Sailing Sports of Tatarstan owns water usage rights for several sites in Kazan. The work on developing water infrastructure and water areas in general is being led by Ranil Nuriyev, a representative of the Public Chamber of Tatarstan, he specified. The timelines for implementing infrastructure projects on the Kazanka depend on the approval of project and estimate documentation. At the end of October 2025, during a meeting with investors, the initiative was approved by the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. He forwarded the matter to the Kazan city administration, which is studying the documentation and integrating the project into the urban environment.
