In Tatarstan, spring sowing will cover 1.7 million hectares.

      In 2026, the sowing campaign in the republic will cover an area of 1.7 million hectares. This was reported at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan by the first deputy minister of agriculture and food, Lenar Garipov. Farms in nine districts have already begun fertilizing winter crops and perennial grasses. A total of 485 thousand hectares of winter crops and 309 thousand hectares of grasses need to be fertilized. Agrarians have purchased 395 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. The provision of seeds for spring cereals is 128%. Contracts have been signed for 91% of corn and sunflower seeds, as well as 100% of sugar beet seeds. Farms in the Aktanysh, Arsk, Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Buinsky, and other districts have shown high readiness for sowing. Students from agricultural universities and colleges will be involved in fieldwork. They will be provided with accommodation, meals, and salaries, while enterprises will be reimbursed 90% of the costs for paying university students and 30% for college students.
