       According to preliminary reports, a partial collapse of technogenic structures occurred during the fire that broke out on the premises of the enterprise.

       After the fire at the Kazan Powder Factory, which occurred the night before, on April 14, the body of the deceased man was recovered from the rubble. As reported by RBC from the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic, he sustained injuries incompatible with life. It was previously reported that two people were also injured as a result of the incident. According to the regional agency, after the incident, one woman in serious condition was hospitalized in the Republican Clinical Hospital. Her condition is currently assessed by doctors as stable. The second victim is a man. He was taken to City Clinical Hospital No. 7 with moderate injuries the day before. It should be noted that the day before, the press service of the head of Tatarstan reported that there was a partial collapse of the structure on the factory premises, and the cause is of a technogenic nature. According to a statement from the Investigative Committee of Russia for Tatarstan, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation based on violations of industrial safety requirements at hazardous production facilities. The investigation of this incident has been taken under the control of the regional prosecutor's office. The Kazan State Treasury Powder Factory was founded in 1788 and is one of the oldest defense enterprises in Russia. It specializes in the production of gunpowder, charges for small arms, artillery, aviation missiles, and civilian products, being among the strategically important facilities for the Russian army.
