The rector of the Academy has been awarded the FSIN medal "For Services to Society."
On April 28 in Kazan, at the base of the FSIN Russia Training Center, a significant event took place — the solemn ceremony of awarding the R. G. Davleev Prize named after the veteran of the penal enforcement system. The event brought together the leadership of the penitentiary system, veterans of the agency, as well as leading public and religious figures of Russia. One of the key parts of the solemn ceremony was the awarding of Farhat Khusnutdinov, the rector of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. For his substantial contribution to the development of the system and active civic position, the chairman of the Public Council of the agency, Alexander Darenkov, presented him with an honorary award — the medal "For Merits to Society." This award recognized the important role of the Academy in the spiritual enlightenment and formation of correct moral guidelines. Along with the rector, prominent public figures, representatives of the clergy, and officers of the FSIN Administration for the Republic of Tatarstan were also awarded medals. The high assessment of the Academy's activities by the agency is due to many years of systematic work: students and teachers of the university regularly visit correctional institutions in Tatarstan. As part of the spiritual care for believers, representatives of the Academy conduct sermons, lectures, and individual mentoring conversations. Such activities are the foundation for the successful resocialization of convicts and their return to a constructive life in society. The honorary guests of the ceremony included the head of the FSIN Russia Administration for the Republic of Tatarstan, Major General of Internal Service Eduard Khialeiev, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya, as well as delegations from Moscow and the regions. Participants expressed special gratitude to the National Charitable Foundation "Yardam — Help" for establishing the award, which allows for the public recognition of the achievements of outstanding individuals in improving the penal enforcement system. Summarizing the event, the deputy chairman of the Public Council under the FSIN Russia, Mikhail Khasminsky, noted: "The work of the regional Public Council is truly unique. This is really the most open council of the most closed agency! Here, projects of great importance for society are implemented. I am grateful to the "Yardam — Help" foundation for the initiative of the Rafael Davleev Prize — thanks to it, deserving people who have dedicated themselves to serving society receive well-deserved recognition."
