      Fraudsters used a virus file disguised as a video to gain access to the victim's phone. In Kazan, a 65-year-old woman fell for the trick of the criminals. A colleague (as it later turned out, her account was hacked) wrote to her and asked her to watch an important video. The woman clicked on the link, but the file never downloaded. After some time, she logged into her bank's mobile app and discovered that 140,000 rubles had been withdrawn from her account. The victim immediately reported to the police. During the investigation, it was found that a malicious program had been installed on her phone, which opened remote access to the device and banking data for the fraudsters. A criminal case has been initiated in this matter. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens not to click on suspicious links and not to open files from unknown senders, even if messages come from friends or colleagues — their accounts may have been hacked. In case of any suspicious withdrawals, immediately block your card and contact the bank and police.
