      On the central square of the city, a patriotic event "Victory Record" took place, dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Participants were to perform a symbolic number of push-ups – exactly as many days of peaceful life have passed since the end of the bloody battle. Schoolchildren and teachers, veterans and active participants of the special military operation, representatives of the authorities, and ordinary citizens gathered here. Among them, the head of the district, Damir Ishkineev, the military commissioner of the city and district, Zagir Abdullin, and others participated in the event. "It is gratifying to see when residents of all ages unite in the face of history. We were not just doing push-ups – we were counting each movement as days of silence gifted to us by our grandfathers. Thank you to everyone who stood in line today," said the head of the district, Damir Ishkineev, noting that the theme of patriotism is especially relevant today, during the special military operation. Yaroslav Krasnov, an 11th-grade student from the city gymnasium, dedicated his personal record to his great-grandfather, who fought in the Great Patriotic War. "For me, participating in the event is a tribute to all the soldiers who gave us a peaceful sky. For us, this is not difficult, and by doing so, we ensure that the memory of our heroes lives on," he said. A special operation fighter with the call sign Yusup also participated in the event; he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2024. "It's not enough to just talk about patriotism. I participate to prove by my example that defending the Motherland is honorable. And doing push-ups for the victory of our grandfathers is a sacred duty," Yusup commented. 66-year-old Sergey Leukov from Nurlat did 30 push-ups clearly and energetically alongside the youth. According to him, he has always been friends with sports, so push-ups were easy for him.

      The patriotic event proved that in Nurlat, the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War is alive. The result was 34,390 push-ups, but the main outcome was the understanding that as long as we are capable of such unity, the heroism of the Soviet people will not be forgotten.
