"The main holiday for our country": a parade was held in Kazan in honor of Victory Day near the veterans' home.

      In Kazan, on Dubravnaya, today a parade took place at the veterans' home – military vehicles and vintage cars drove down the street opposite the building. Cadets participated in the event, and all parade guests were given flowers. "The local branch of United Russia has been holding a huge number of events dedicated to Victory Day for over five years. Today we are performing in front of the workers of the rear and the widows of veterans, and earlier we visited all the veterans – not one was forgotten! We approached each house, held parades everywhere," said the executive secretary of the United Russia party, deputy of the Kazan City Duma Tanzilya Rakova. Veterans of labor and widows of veterans came out to the street to participate in the celebration – a comfortable platform was organized for them right on the sidewalk. "This is the main holiday of our country, and we found a way to please the veterans and workers of the rear who could not come to the parade on their own. Since then, holding parades in front of homes in the run-up to Victory Day has become a tradition," said the head of the executive committee of the regional branch of the United Russia party Marat Samigullin. Guests were delighted. Some sang along to the front-line songs performed by the vocal-instrumental ensemble, while others sat silently and watched. Nevertheless, everyone was united by a broad smile. "When the war began, I was a child. My brothers went to the front, and we stayed in the village. Only women remained, and all the work fell on us. We worked day and night and were very happy when Victory came, we cried. Now it is very pleasant to watch the parade. For us, this is a special holiday when we remember those days and how hard it was for us. It is important to appreciate what we have now because compared to that time, we live in paradise," said rear worker Mindakhmet Kiyamov.
