Removing the spleen with such a diagnosis is an exceptional measure; only a few similar operations have been documented in world medicine. Despite the complex preparation, the intervention was successful. Just a day after the operation, the patient's platelet and white blood cell counts began to rise — something that had not been achieved through numerous blood transfusions. The girl is now stable, and the danger has passed. Ahead are recovery and a course of antiparasitic therapy.
