KazanForum 2026: more than 80 agricultural companies met with foreign partners

      Russian companies held over 500 negotiations with foreign businessmen. A separate venue was the "Kazan Halal Market" fair, which was attended by nearly 35,000 people. At the seventeenth international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2026," a significant session titled "Made in Russia" took place. More than 80 Russian producers from the agro-industrial complex from nine regions met with 21 foreign companies. As a result, over 500 business meetings and networking sessions were held. This helped strengthen the export potential of our enterprises and achieve the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export." This information was disseminated by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan. Another bright event within the forum was the international trade fair "Kazan Halal Market." More than 100 companies from nine countries and eleven subjects of the Russian Federation participated. The total number of visitors reached an impressive figure of 34,767 people. The fair proved to be an effective platform for showcasing the potential of halal products and establishing new business connections. The organizers of these events were the Export Support Center of the Tatarstan Entrepreneurship Support Fund and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic. They operated with the support of the federal state budget institution "Agroexport." The participation of small and medium-sized businesses was additionally ensured by export support centers from eight other regions of the country. The development of the "Halal" industry in Tatarstan is systematic and planned. The results for 2025 speak for themselves. The volume of halal product production reached 354.5 thousand tons with a total value of 149.1 billion rubles. The export of the entire agro-industrial complex during the same period amounted to 539.4 million dollars, of which 45 million was specifically for halal products. Data for April of this year shows that exports have already reached 122.4 million dollars, including 8.3 million dollars in halal exports. The growth rates are evident. A stable sector of halal product producers has formed in the republic. It covers meat and dairy products, semi-finished products, bakery and confectionery products, as well as specific segments of processing and beverage production. Production chains have been established in more than thirty municipal districts with certification from the Committee on the "Halal" standard of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan. The main importers of Tatarstan's halal products have become countries of the Commonwealth, as well as Mongolia, Brazil, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
