Minnikhanov received two Alabai puppies as a gift from the leader of Turkmenistan.

      The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, was presented with two Alabai puppies — a gift from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. A week ago, during his visit to Kazan for the KazanForum, Berdymukhamedov saw the grown dog Akdus, which he had gifted in 2021, and decided to send two more dogs to the republic. The puppies were born in March. The male was named Alabai, and the female — Aladja. The certificate for them was handed over by the vice president of the International Association of "Turkmen Alabai." Minnikhanov thanked Berdymukhamedov and the entire Turkmen people for their special attitude towards Tatarstan. The Turkmen Alabai is a national symbol and one of the oldest breeds in the world, known for over 4,000 years. Young dog handlers were present at the ceremony, who were told about the majestic and loyal character of these dogs.
