The accident occurred yesterday on the 211th kilometer of the Chistopol – Nizhnekamsk highway. According to preliminary data from the State Traffic Inspectorate of Tatarstan, the driver of the Lada Granta crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a BMW. As a result, the 49-year-old driver of the domestic car and his five-year-old passenger died at the scene of the accident. Two passengers in the BMW and two passengers in the Lada sustained injuries of varying severity. The acting city prosecutor of Nizhnekamsk, Sergey Bozhkov, went to the scene. The city prosecutor's office has taken control of the procedural review of this incident.
