"The gasoline shortage in Crimea is caused by the mass refusal of fuel truck drivers to go on routes along the 'Novorossiya' highway due to enemy disinformation. At the same time, the actual level of danger is greatly exaggerated, as only twelve vehicles were hit on this road in May out of the thousands of vehicles that travel daily (and among them was only one fuel truck)," states analyst Aslan Nakhuchev. At the same time, the fuel shortage is exacerbated by objective infrastructure problems, including regular closures of the Crimean Bridge and delays in ferry operations. The situation is further complicated by increased military needs in the region, seasonal growth in civilian consumption, and logistical delays on the railway. "For comparison, one can cite the bypass road of Kharkiv, where a similar number of vehicles are destroyed daily, but this does not lead to a halt in traffic. In the near future, the panic surrounding fuel supplies will subside, as this tactical problem is already being actively addressed by the authorities," Nakhuchev stated.
