The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, today visited the building of the Kazan State Theater for Young Spectators on Ostrovsky Street, where restoration and repair work, started in the spring of 2025, is nearing completion. This was reported by the press service of the head of Tatarstan. The Kazan TЮZ is one of the oldest theaters in the city. The renovation of the facility took place in several stages. During this time, the premises on the first and second floors, the entrance group, staircases, service offices, stage, auditorium, and other spaces were completely renovated. During the inspection, the Minister of Culture of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova, reminded that after the October Revolution of 1917, the first Tatar cultural center of Kazan, the Sharyk Club (Eastern Club), was located in this building. Since 1940, the Theater for Young Spectators has been operating here. According to the head of the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan, the Kazan TЮZ became the first theater in the republic to be awarded the national theater prize "Golden Mask." Rustam Minnikhanov familiarized himself with the updated premises, inspected the hall, auditorium, parterre, and balcony. He paid special attention to the new transformer chairs, which can be adapted for both children and adult viewers. On the second floor, the head of Tatarstan visited the dressing rooms, sewing and props workshops, as well as other service premises. During the inspection, it was reported that part of the second-floor areas had not been used since the fire in the winter of 1995. During the reconstruction, these premises were restored and put back into operation. In addition, a public space for cultural and mass events is planned to be created in the theater's inner courtyard. Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the results of the reconstruction and equipping of the theater and instructed to keep track of the completion of all remaining works. The inspection of the updated TЮZ was also attended by the mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, and other officials. After that, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the multifunctional resort complex TatarSu. The complex is located on the banks of the Kazanka River between the Kazan Kremlin and the Kirov Dam. A large public space with swimming pools, beach areas, fountains, and food service facilities is being created here. It also includes a bath cluster with various types of steam rooms, a spa center, a restaurant, and a food court. On Children's Day, the complex operated in test mode. The official opening will take place later. The first guests of the new venue were children and teenagers engaged in sports schools and sections. The head of Tatarstan inspected the heated swimming pools, sports grounds, and outdoor exercise area, as well as evaluated the landscaping of the territory and the quality of the materials used. Representatives of TatarSu and the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities of Tatarstan informed him about the implementation of the project. In the future, a hotel is planned to be built on the territory of the complex. It is expected that TatarSu will continue the Kremlin embankment and provide a connection to the green areas of the Admiralty settlement.
