The best student family has been determined at KNITU-KAI.

      The results of the competition will be announced at the Academic Council of KAI at the end of June. The Social Work Department of KNIITU-KAI held the traditional competition "Best Student Family of KNIITU-KAI - 2026". Eight student couples from Kazan, university branches, and partner universities participated in the event; among them were families expecting a new addition and couples who traveled hundreds of kilometers to find each other. This year, the competition received municipal status and was included in the Interuniversity Plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for 2026 aimed at preserving and promoting traditional family values in the student environment. For the first time, the event took place in an open format: families where one spouse studies at another university participated; families from KNIITU-KAI branches and KUIMC also joined the event. Participants presented family presentations about their meeting history, plans, hobbies, and traditions, and answered questions from the intellectual competition of the KAI brain club. The jury evaluated not only the creative performances but also the psychological specifics of student families, their own rules of life and communication. The expert commission included representatives from government and society, alumni and teachers of KAI, a clinical psychologist, and social work specialists. One of them was Izolda Zhuykova – a KAI graduate, a member of the commission on social issues, charity, and the development of the non-profit sector, Chair of the Public Council of the Federal Party Project "Strong Family" in the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Worker of Culture of RT, and radio technician-inventor. She presented the Akhmetzyanov family with a letter of gratitude and a commemorative gift on behalf of the "Strong Family" project in RT. During the meeting, the significance of university initiatives to support student families, the availability of social and financial assistance measures, and the active participation of KAI students in city, republican, and all-Russian family projects were emphasized; several families already represent the university at federal festivals.
