Today at the IT Park named after Bashir Rameev, grandfathers, grandmothers, and their grandchildren are competing for victory in the Republican Championship "Hikmət" — "Buinlar bäyläneşe" ("Connection of Generations"). 180 participants from 45 districts of Tatarstan have reached the finals after passing municipal qualifying stages. At the opening of the tournament, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva, the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic Elmira Zaripova, and the chairwoman of the regional branch of the "Union of Pensioners of Russia" in the Republic of Tatarstan Lyubov Mishina spoke. "I would like to address the youngest and most knowledgeable participants of the tournament separately. Your help in mastering advanced technologies is always important and needed. Remember that there are adults around you who always need you," said Leila Fazleeva. The participants of the tournament include men aged 60 and older, women aged 55 and older, and schoolchildren no older than 14. The youngest participant is nine years old, while the wisest and most experienced is 84. They prove that one can learn something new at any age. "You are all keeping up with the times, thank you! Special thanks to the participants of the special military operation for their activity. And know this: the winner will go to Ryazan to represent the republic at the all-Russian championship in computer multi-sport," said Elmira Zaripova. "Today, this hall is filled with the smartest, wisest, bravest, and most responsible representatives of the older generation of our republic and the most advanced grandchildren. Each year, our championship is gaining momentum: this year, 780 people participated in the first stage," explained Lyubov Mishina. Participants will undergo a skills test necessary for real life. Winners will be determined in three main nominations:
— "Yandex. Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia." Participants perform tasks related to working with artificial intelligence.
— "Working on a smartphone. Year of Military and Labor Glory." Families will show how they work in the "Max" messenger.
— "Information and Financial Security." Participants perform tasks related to paying for public services and data protection.
Special nominations have also been established: "Oldest Participant," "Oldest Female Participant," "Youngest Participant," "Youngest Female Participant," and "Defender of the Fatherland" (for combat veterans, including participants of the special military operation). The organizers of the championship are the regional branch of the "Union of Pensioners of Russia" in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Social Fund of Russia for the republic, MinTsifra, MinTrud, MinObrNauki of Tatarstan, as well as the Council of Municipalities of RT and the IT Park.
