The relay race for the prizes of the newspaper "Republic of Tatarstan" will take place for the first time in 80 years.

      After almost an 80-year break, Kazan will host an athletics relay for the first time, sponsored by the newspaper "Respublika Tatarstan." The organizers are the newspaper's editorial office, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the regional organization "Ready for Labor and Defense." Participants in the relay will include university students, representatives from military enterprises, government institutions, and public organizations. The event will take place in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Recreation. The relay includes five challenges from the field of military-applied disciplines. The main competitions will unfold at the "Labor Reserves" sports complex. In the first stage, participants will need to disassemble and assemble a rifle; in the second stage, they will test their skills in throwing a projectile—700 grams for men and 500 grams for women. In the subsequent stages, participants will face a pull-up test and a load-carrying task. Another challenge will be controlling a drone on a computer simulator.
