       Throughout the current 2025-2026 academic year, the total demand for teaching staff in schools in Tatarstan exceeded two thousand people.

       As reported by "Tatar-inform," citing the words of the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khadiullin, the situation is most acute regarding the shortage of teachers in mathematics, Russian language and literature, primary classes, foreign languages, physics, computer science, history, social studies, biology, chemistry, as well as educators in preschool institutions. The head of the department noted that officials are partially addressing the staffing shortage by involving senior students in pedagogical specialties in teaching activities, as well as by simply increasing the teaching load of current staff. Thanks to such measures, no school, according to the minister, has been left without teachers. Khadiullin specified that the greatest need for teachers today is recorded in the largest cities of the republic – Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as in rapidly developing and growing population areas such as Nizhnekamsk, Vysokogorsk, and Laishevsky districts. The minister stated that currently, in Tatarstan schools, the share of teachers under the age of 35 is only 24 percent, which indicates an aging teaching staff and the reluctance of young people to pursue this profession. To stimulate the influx of fresh personnel, starting from September 1, 2025, the monthly allowance for young specialists in their first three years of work has been radically increased – from 2,500 rubles to 10,000 rubles, and now more than 3,000 beginning teachers receive this allowance. It was previously reported that more than 1,200 Kazan graduates are vying for medals for academic achievements.
