A 21-year-old VHL hockey player tragically died in Bashkortostan.

      Today in Salavat, 21-year-old forward of HC "Norilsk" Yegor Yadykin tragically passed away. This was reported by the club's press service. "With deep sorrow and pain in our hearts, we announce that our player Yegor Yadykin has passed away under tragic circumstances," the club's statement said. Details of the incident have become known. Early in the morning on June 11, Yegor (born in 2005) and his grandfather (born in 1958) went fishing. The elderly man decided to teach his grandson how to shoot a gun. However, the weapon discharged in the hands of the inexperienced shooter and shot him in the lower jaw, causing the young man to die on the spot. The grandfather could not bear the consequences of the tragedy and took his own life. Before that, the man left a voice message to relatives about what had happened. Later, according to the investigation, the bodies of the two deceased were found in one of the garages in Salavat (Bashkortostan). Yegor Yadykin was 21 years old. He was a graduate of "Avangard" and played in the VHL since 2022 for the teams "Omskie Kryl'ya" and "Norilsk."
