Today, during the celebration of Russia Day at the Family Center "Kazan," a mobile recruitment point for military service under contract was set up. Visitors could learn more about military service and the conditions for signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. "Here, everyone interested can find out about the service, the priority selection areas, and the criteria. We also prepared activities for guests. A model of the Kalashnikov assault rifle is presented here. You can assemble and disassemble it. Even if a person encounters a weapon for the first time, our instructors will gladly explain and teach everything," said Yegor Goryachev, an officer at the recruitment point for military service under contract, to Tatar-inform.
The assembly and disassembly of rifles traditionally attracts interest: many people want to hold the legendary rifle. Interestingly, among them today were quite a few girls and young women. Almost all participants in the activity came with their families.
A whole line formed at the FPV drone simulator located inside the tent. With its help, one can try themselves as an operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle – flying and hitting a virtual target.
Today, the recruitment point is holding an event for children. A child under 14 who hits an enemy target in the drone simulator, as well as assembles and disassembles the rifle, receives a symbolic gift: a mug and a notebook.
Yegor Goryachev reminded about the support measures for those who sign contracts in the Republic of Tatarstan. "Currently, the one-time cash payment from the republic is 2.5 million rubles. The one-time payment from the Ministry of Defense is 400,000 rubles. Thus, the total amount upon entering military service under contract is 2.9 million rubles," the officer explained.

"One of the priority areas is unmanned systems troops. Many who pass through our recruitment point are interested in this service. This is an entirely new branch of the military, new units, military parts. There is a myth that in the troops, one can only become an operator or a technician. In reality, the list of positions is broad. You can try yourself as a driver, mechanic-driver, cook, and so on. Each serviceman will have a special contract, the conditions of which can be learned from us," Goryachev explained.
Recruitment for service in the African Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is also underway here. Tatarstan is one of seven subjects of the Russian Federation that is recruiting for this unit.
Today, the mobile point continues its work until the end of the festive events.
