The beauty of the peoples was showcased at the ethno-confessional festival "Mosaic of Cultures," which took place in the heart of Kazan — the Kazan Kremlin.       Thus, on Russia Day, to one of the most beloved songs, a mass procession began along the cobblestones of the Kazan Kremlin in bright national costumes. The "Parade of Friendship of Peoples" united not only representatives of the peoples of the Volga region but also from all over our vast country, demonstrating the unity of our multinational and multi-confessional Motherland.

      The route of the anniversary, the tenth "Parade of Friendship of Peoples," ran from the Spasskaya Tower to the Kul Sharif Mosque, to the Annunciation Cathedral, and further to the Presence Places of the Kazan Kremlin. The participants of the parade became guests of the republican ethno-confessional festival "Mosaic of Cultures," which offers authentic performances of songs and dances and an incomparable atmosphere of folk festivities.

      In Tatarstan, Russia Day — June 12 — is always a mass, multinational, multifaceted, and very bright and spectacular holiday that unites people of different generations in their desire to express words of gratitude and love for their mighty and great Motherland.       "We congratulate all Tatars on the main holiday of our country — Russia Day. We are proud to live in a strong, free country. The experience of our state is unique. The foundation of our unity is mutual respect and common spiritual and moral values," said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

      To immerse oneself in folk traditions, crafts, and to hear how ancient musical instruments sound, one could visit the street of craftsmen.

      However, the traditions of Russia Day are not only festive processions and concerts but, first and foremost, honoring those who have earned glory and valor through their military feats and labor. On June 12, in the Kazan Kremlin, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of the country and the republic to outstanding Tatars.

      "It is important that we meet Russia Day as a strong and united country. We are infinitely grateful to the natives of the Republic of Tatarstan, who have forged the greatness and glory of the Fatherland at all times," said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

      Among the awardees are participants of the Special Military Operation and volunteers, such as 85-year-old Zilda Savchenko, who personally traveled 40 times with humanitarian cargo to the zone of the special operation.

      "As far as I understand, the Motherland is a mother. And we must help her. As much as I can, I help," says the head of the volunteer department of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Participants of the Special Military Operation and their families "People's Militia," Zilda Savchenko.

      There is also special symbolism in the fact that on June 12, Russia Day, Tatarstan celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding aircraft designer Vitaly Kopylov. A Hero of Socialist Labor, he led the Kazan Aviation Plant for 20 years.

      "With the arrival of Vitaly Kopylov at the Kazan Aviation Plant, the enterprise mastered the production of Il-62, Tu-22M3, and our legendary 'White Swan' — Tu-214, our domestic civil airliner," noted the managing director of JSC "Tupolev," Yuri Abrosimov.

      A solemn meeting with the participation of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and a laying of flowers took place at the monument to the legendary director of KAZ.
