The Supreme Court of Tatarstan agreed with the decision to extend the arrest of the former head of the Nizhnekamsk district, Ramil Mullin. This was reported by "BUSINESS Online" in the court's press service. On June 1, the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court extended Mullin's detention until August 3. Mullin requested to soften his preventive measure, and therefore disagreed with the decision made and appealed it. At today's meeting in the Supreme Court of Tatarstan, where the former district head participated via video link from the detention center, he also requested to be placed under house arrest. However, the Supreme Court of Tatarstan decided that there were no grounds for changing the preventive measure. Mullin was detained by operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan and the FSB of Tatarstan in December last year. He is considered involved in fraud related to payments of "recruitment" bonuses for attracting residents of the Nizhnekamsk district to contract service in the Special Military Operation. The amount of damage is over 30 million rubles. In addition, Mullin was charged with a crime related to the "SOLNCE" school. Mullin himself stated that he is interested in the investigation clarifying all circumstances. "I myself explained to the investigation how everything actually was. However, to my surprise, I am in a pre-trial detention center, while the individuals identified by the investigation who actually received the money that I am accused of remain witnesses. Very strange!" he said at the last trial.
