"Family Week" in Tatarstan: a large-scale celebration with 65 support measures

      A large-scale "Family Week" is starting in Tatarstan, timed to coincide with the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity. Events will take place in all cities and districts of the republic from July 1 to July 10. This year, the organizers have prepared over 700 events — a hundred more than last season. Elvira Akhmetova, head of the Registry Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, shared details of the preparations at a press conference at "Tatar-inform." The main slogan of the week is "Tatarstan – the territory of happy families." The regional authorities emphasize systematic support for parents, preservation of traditional values, and fostering patriotism through family institutions. Currently, there are 65 types of social assistance in the republic, 60 of which are funded exclusively from the regional budget.

      A particular source of pride is the growth in the number of large families — there are now over 59,000 in Tatarstan, raising 189,000 children. Housing programs are available for young parents, and the list of benefits for student families with children is constantly expanding.

      The "Family Week" program promises to be rich and diverse. The agenda includes creative workshops for all ages, exhibitions of wedding photos and family photo albums, sidewalk drawing contests, literary readings, sports relays, and quizzes. There will also be solemn marriage registrations, birth registrations from maternity hospitals, and naming ceremonies.

      The venues for the celebration will include registry offices and marriage palaces, cultural centers, libraries, museums, social shelters, parks, and squares. Participants in the events will include not only children and adults but also anniversary couples, schoolchildren, students from social institutions, as well as honorary guests — veterans of the Special Military Operation, distinguished workers of the republic, heads of municipalities, and honorary citizens.

      Additionally, it should be noted that the events are part of the national project "Family," which provides comprehensive support measures for the family institution at all levels.
