      In Kazan, a new cultural and educational project has been developed, which promises to attract the attention of tourists and residents to the city's rich history and architectural heritage. The initiative, titled "Cats of Kazan," aims to create an interactive tourist route that combines urban legends, the history of the capital of Tatarstan, and modern digital technologies. The idea was proposed by the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the project has already received support from several relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the State Committee for Tourism, and the Committee for the Development of Tourism in Kazan. The main feature of the route is its interactivity. Visitors will be able to scan QR codes placed on special information stands and receive fascinating facts about locations and characters related to the city's history. Additionally, a quest will be developed for guests, the completion of which will allow them to obtain an electronic certificate. This format makes a walk around the city not just a tour, but a real adventure that will be interesting for both adults and children.

      The visual dominant of the route will be fifteen bronze cat figures, which are planned to be installed near key attractions in Kazan. Among the places where the art objects may appear are the Kazan Kremlin, Bauman pedestrian street, Lake Kaban, the Family Center "Kazan," the new building of the Kamal Theater, the Old Tatar Sloboda, the Kazanka River embankment, the "Uram" extreme park, the "Ak Bars Arena" stadium, Black Lake, the National Library of Tatarstan, Kazan Federal University, and Tukay Square. Thus, the route will cover various corners of the city—from the ancient Kremlin to modern public spaces. The project is not limited to just street sculptures. The organizers also plan to create a digital platform where all information about the route can be found, as well as release themed souvenir products—from magnets to T-shirts featuring Kazan cats. The authors of the initiative emphasize that their main task is not to invent a new brand from scratch, but to develop the already existing cultural code of the city. The image of the Kazan cat is one of the oldest and most recognizable symbols of the capital of Tatarstan. The project makes it modern, lively, and attractive to a wide audience, reminding us that even in the age of digital technologies, old legends can find new life. The implementation of the initiative will be an important step in the development of Kazan's tourist infrastructure and will help attract even more visitors to the city who wish to discover its unique atmosphere.
