The Federal Interagency Working Group has approved the expansion of the SEZ "Green Valley" in Tatarstan.
Today, following the meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the creation and development of special economic zones chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, a decision was made to approve the expansion of the SEZ "Green Valley." The Republic was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov. The meeting presented an initiative to expand the SEZ "Green Valley," aimed at becoming a driver of innovation and high-tech production. As part of the implementation of national priorities for ensuring technological leadership and developing the bioeconomy, Tatarstan received significant support. Now, by the decision of the federal center, the zone will receive new development through the addition of 374.44 hectares of land in the Nizhnekamsk district. Eight projects envisage attracting significant investments amounting to approximately 299 billion rubles. The creation of 1,841 jobs is expected, along with the development of modern infrastructure worth over 50 billion rubles, as well as the formation of significant tax potential - 62.2 billion rubles by 2035. A significant portion of production will be oriented towards both domestic and foreign markets. Thus, the expansion of the SEZ "Green Valley" will strengthen Tatarstan's position and make a significant contribution to the creation of a powerful center for the development of the bioeconomy in Russia, uniting the advanced achievements of oil and gas chemistry, the agro-industrial complex, and science.
