Putin promised to legally enshrine the special status of teachers.

      The elections for the deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation and regional electoral campaigns will take place in September within the established deadlines and in full compliance with the legislation. This was stated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, at the congress of "United Russia." "All measures will be taken to ensure the safety of cooperation with citizens, candidates, observers, and voters, to protect the voting results from any attempts of external influence and manipulation," Putin said.

      Putin expressed confidence that the upcoming electoral campaign will take place in conditions of open and fair competitive struggle. He noted that citizens' trust in democratic institutions remains one of the key conditions for the stability of the state and the unity of society. According to him, elections are a test of the maturity of the political system and are of great importance for the further development of the country, strengthening stability, and public consensus.

      "Much depends on how substantively our parliamentary parties, primarily 'United Russia,' conduct their electoral campaigns. It is a great honor and a huge responsibility to earn the status of a leading party; it is the support of the modern Russian state," the President added.

      Putin also noted that supporters of "United Russia" did not engage in populism and did not base their work on unattainable promises for the sake of political ratings. He thanked party representatives for their contribution to the development of the country, work in parliament, and executive authorities, and urged them not to reduce but to increase the pace of this activity.

      The President pointed out that the party continues to implement support measures for participants in the special military operation and their families, participates in the implementation of large social and economic projects, and also facilitates financial support for regions, including through the decision on the repayment terms of budget loans.

      "Much is being done by the party for the education system, for our state. Today, I would like to support another specific initiative of yours, which I consider relevant – the recognition of the special status of teachers in our country. The consolidation of such a status should not be formal. It is about additional support, about new opportunities for professional growth for those who have dedicated themselves to one of the most respected professions," Putin said.
