The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan has issued a verdict against Gumer Nafiev, the former deputy prosecutor of Kazan, who was accused of bribery and is the son of the former first prosecutor of Tatarstan. An indictment was handed down to the former deputy prosecutor of the city, Gumer Nafiev, the son of the ex-prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan, who was found guilty of a corruption crime, reports "Tatar-inform." The court sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony, imposed a large monetary fine of five million rubles, and prohibited him from holding any positions in public service for six years. Other defendants in the case also received actual sentences: Vladimir Boykov was sentenced to ten years in prison with a fine of six million rubles, while Evgeny Koklyagin and Vladimir Kuchinsky were each sentenced to nine years with a fine of sixty-one million rubles. According to the investigation, they acted as intermediaries in the transfer of a bribe to a former high-ranking prosecutor's employee. The investigation established that Nafiev received a significant sum from Moscow intermediaries, to whom the money was transferred by the fugitive beneficiary of the insurance company "NASKO," Alexander Kondratenkov, and several months before his arrest, the former official was dismissed from the prosecutor's office. Recently, it was reported that residents of Tatarstan have been spending more time searching for jobs: the average job search time has increased to 4.3 months, and the proportion of those searching for a year has jumped fourfold. According to Rosstat data, the average duration of job searches in the region exceeds the figures from the first quarter of 2025, when it took four months, and from 2024, which had a figure of 4.2 months.
