Tatarstan and India are expanding cooperation in the field of youth policy and entrepreneurship.
In Kazan, as part of the International Forum on Consumer Cooperation "Youth of Cooperation: Uniting Resources for Industry Development," a meeting took place between the Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh Yegor Litvinenko, the Minister for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Kadyrov, and a delegation from the Republic of India. The parties discussed the development of international youth cooperation, academic exchanges, entrepreneurship, and joint projects for young people. Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh Yegor Litvinenko noted that cooperation with foreign partners opens new opportunities for youth in both countries: "Russia is interested in developing long-term international youth ties. Such meetings allow us to find new formats for interaction, create joint projects, and expand opportunities for young people in education, entrepreneurship, and public activities." Representatives of the Indian delegation spoke about the work of the International Youth Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance, which unites youth organizations from more than 110 countries. During the meeting, mechanisms for involving young people in the cooperative movement, developing educational programs, youth leadership, and entrepreneurial initiatives were discussed. Special attention was given to the prospects of Russian-Indian youth exchanges. Possible areas of cooperation include organizing mutual delegations, developing student employment programs, creating joint entrepreneurial projects, and holding international youth events. Minister for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Kadyrov invited representatives of the Indian side to participate in the Kazan Global Youth Summit, which will take place in Tatarstan in August. He noted that the republic is consistently developing international cooperation with youth organizations from BRICS countries and is interested in expanding partnership ties with India. Azat Kadyrov also emphasized that the Republic of Tatarstan is already today one of the centers of international youth cooperation in Russia: "Today, more than 250,000 students are studying in Tatarstan, over 30,000 of whom are foreign. Among them are many young people from India. They actively participate in public life, implement projects, become winners of grant competitions, and work in student teams. For us, it is important that studying in Tatarstan provides young people not only with quality education but also with opportunities for development, professional growth, and international communication."
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to work on proposals for launching joint projects and giving cooperation a long-term systemic nature.
