       In Tatarstan, the debt of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs on loans increased by 24 billion over the month. According to experts' calculations, this amount increased by 395 billion over the year.

       As of June 1, 2026, the Republic of Tatarstan remains the absolute leader among the regions of the Volga Federal District in terms of the volume of debt of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to the banking sector, writes RBC. According to data released by the Central Bank of Russia, the total loan portfolio of businesses in the region reached one trillion six hundred ninety billion rubles. Just in the last month, this amount increased by twenty-four point three billion, or one and a half percent, and on an annual basis, the growth of debt among companies and individual entrepreneurs was even more impressive, amounting to three hundred ninety-five point six billion rubles, or thirty-four point four percent. For comparison, at the beginning of June 2025, the figure was one point three trillion rubles. The second place in terms of debt volume in the Volga Federal District is held by Perm Krai, and the third by Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The lowest business debt to banks among the fourteen regions of the district was recorded in Mari El. At the same time, overdue debt on loans provided to legal entities and entrepreneurs as of the reporting date amounted to thirty-seven point nine billion rubles, or two point two percent of the total volume. A few days ago, it was reported that the Republic of Tatarstan has entered the ranks of the leading regions of Russia in terms of the scale and quality of the implementation of intelligent transport systems, which today are radically changing the appearance of road infrastructure and enhancing traffic safety.
