In the forests of the republic, 225 sites were improved in 2026 for the comfortable and safe stay of citizens. In Tatarstan, the next stage of fire safety arrangements for forest areas has been completed. As reported by the head of the forest protection and conservation sector of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Anas Sengatullin, this year, 225 resting places have been equipped for visitors. According to the speaker, the creation of civilized recreational zones allows for the solution of two tasks at once: to reduce the risk of spontaneous, uncontrolled campsites and to minimize the likelihood of fires. The improved sites are part of a set of mandatory fire safety measures for forests. At the same time, specialists are actively conducting educational work among the population. Banners, signs, and information boards reminding about the rules of behavior in nature are being installed along forest roads and at the entrances to forest areas. The residents and guests of the republic are also being handed thematic leaflets and brochures, and preventive actions are regularly conducted. Additionally, the reduction of areas burned by fire on forest fund lands is one of the key goals of the regional project "Forest Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan." This project is being implemented as part of the federal initiative "Forest Conservation" of the national program "Ecological Well-Being."
