"Lenta" has purchased a batch of economical KAMAZ trucks.
The federal retailer "Lenta Group" has replenished its fleet with a batch of 20 KAMAZ-54901 tractor units – the equipment was supplied under the leasing program of JSC "KAMAZ Leasing Company." The long-haul tractors will be used for delivering goods from distribution centers to hypermarkets and will operate in various regions of the country, reports the newspaper "Vesti KAMAZ." The uniqueness of the delivery is the exclusive execution: at the individual request of "Lenta," the vehicles are painted in metallic blue. At the same time, the technical specifications of the tractors meet the strict requirements of a large retailer's logistics. Experts note that the reliability and fuel efficiency of the model directly affect the stability of supply chains. The KAMAZ-54901 is equipped with a six-cylinder in-line R6 engine (volume – 13 liters, power – 483 hp) and a 12-speed robotic transmission, characterized by low noise levels and high efficiency. Thanks to design solutions, the maintenance interval has been increased to 120,000 km, and the engine life reaches 1.5 million km. An important advantage for operational efficiency is a 10% reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous generation vehicles. The cab of the tractor is spacious, with two sleeping places.
Considering "Lenta's" high demands for the accuracy of delivery schedules and the reliability of transport, the KAMAZ-54901 model fits well into the tasks of intercity transportation, which is why it is used by Russian companies.
