Representatives of Tatarstan reached the semifinals of the mentoring competition "To Be, Not to Seem."

      Representatives of Tatarstan have entered the list of semifinalists of the All-Russian mentor competition "To Be, Not to Seem" and will compete for a place in the final of the project. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. The first semifinal for participants from the Volga and Ural Federal Districts took place from June 7 to 13 in Tyumen. The competition has been held since 2024 by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The project aims to improve mechanisms for patriotic education and to unlock the potential of youth. The competition aligns with the goals of the national project "Youth and Children." "Today, there are many youth mentors in Tatarstan. They work in schools, colleges, youth centers, patriotic clubs, helping young people grow and develop. The participation of representatives from the republic in the competition 'To Be, Not to Seem' provides an opportunity to showcase their practices, exchange experiences, and find new ideas for working with youth," noted the Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Azat Kadyrov. The district stage of the competition includes a series of in-person semifinals held in different cities across Russia. Participants perform thematic tasks and undergo roundtable interviews with an expert jury. The team of mentors from Tatarstan participated in the in-person trials in Tyumen. The final stage of the competition is scheduled for autumn. This year, participants compete in six nominations: "Beginning Mentor," "Experienced Mentor," "Leader Mentor," "Mentor in Service," "Own Mentor," and "Be an Example." The "Beginning Mentor" nomination is intended for high school students, college and university students, members of public organizations, and military-patriotic clubs aged 16 to 23 with up to one year of mentoring experience. The "Experienced Mentor" category includes educators, youth center instructors, and specialists in preventing destructive behavior aged 18 and older with at least one year of work experience. "Leader Mentor" is a nomination for heads of youth policy institutions and leaders of patriotic and sports clubs with at least one year of management experience.

      In the "Mentor in Service" nomination, active employees and veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, National Guard, as well as officer students of military universities participate. "Own Mentor" is intended for participants and veterans of the special military operation. In the team nomination "Be an Example," pairs of mentors and mentees compete. The organizers of the competition are the Rospatriot Center of Rosmolodezh in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Knowledge Society, the program "More than a Journey," "Movement of the First," and the Center "WARRIOR."
