In the first six months of 2026, Kazan recorded 34 road traffic accidents involving motorcycles. This was reported by the head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the city, Mikhail Savin. While there were no fatalities in motorcycle accidents in the first half of 2025, this year, three people lost their lives in accidents. Additionally, 33 people sustained injuries. After colliding with a passenger car, a 31-year-old motorcycle rider died at the scene. The force of the impact threw the motorcycle onto a public transport stop where people were present.
