This was reported at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan by the head of the State Housing Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexander Tygin. According to him, the inspection's requirements for tree pruning are often perceived as a formality, but such work is necessary for the safe operation of smoke removal systems. "One tree that is taller than the parapet, at a certain angle of wind movement and its speed, can create backdraft. Therefore, when the inspection requires tree pruning, it sounds like some formal 'nonsense', but in our case, we see all the statistics of people dying and will never allow such risks to remain unaddressed," Tygin said. As an example, he cited a five-story building in Almetyevsk, surrounded by tall birches and poplars. With a certain wind direction, such a green "wall" can disrupt the draft in the chimneys, explained the head of the State Housing Inspection. He emphasized that carbon monoxide itself poses a particular danger, as it cannot be detected without special devices. "Carbon monoxide is invisible, inaudible, and imperceptible. When it has already entered the bloodstream, a person often cannot do anything," Tygin noted.
