Today, a serious incident took place on the Sviyaga River near the recreation center "Rybkin Dom" in the settlement of Vedenskaya Sloboda. An unidentified jet ski driver collided at full speed with a pontoon on which a 49-year-old woman was located. The impact struck directly on the structure — the victim sustained an open fracture of her right shin. Medical professionals assessed her condition as moderate. The woman was promptly hospitalized from the scene to City Hospital No. 7 in Kazan, where she is receiving all necessary assistance.
The identity of the jet ski driver has not yet been established. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and specialists will need to determine the cause of the collision — whether it was speeding, loss of control, or simply inattention.
Law enforcement agencies have already begun an investigation into the incident.
