According to the minister, over the past 30 years, emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere in Tatarstan have decreased by 32%, despite a 3.2-fold increase in the economy. By the end of 2025, the volume of emissions was 383 thousand tons compared to 563 thousand tons in 1998. During this period, the volume of discharged polluted wastewater has also decreased by 70%. Today, air quality monitoring in the republic has been conducted since 2008. The system includes 17 state and 14 local enterprise stations, which together conduct about 7 million measurements per year.
