More than 130 students are employed annually in the oil industry of Tatarstan as part of student work teams — young specialists acquire working professions at 12 enterprises in the republic and often remain there to work after graduation. In Tatarstan, over 130 students annually receive temporary jobs at 12 enterprises in the oil extraction industry as part of student work teams. This was reported by the press service of the student work teams of the republic. As noted by the director of the Republican Center for Student Labor Teams, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Student Teams Vasily Islaev, the oil extraction industry requires high qualifications and practical experience — it is precisely such personnel that student teams help to cultivate. According to the expert, preparing students for work at strategic enterprises is one of the key tasks of the movement, and each year young specialists are becoming more confident in securing positions in the industry. Students are involved in key production processes: they work as drilling assistants, participate in raw material extraction and major repairs of wells, engage in diagnostics and maintenance of equipment, and prepare drilling fluids. Additionally, as part of vocational training, they prepare chemical analysis laboratory assistants — they control the quality of raw materials and finished products. This way, young people acquire working specialties and gain experience working with high-tech equipment, becoming familiar with the full production cycle — from drilling to processing. The systematic approach of enterprises and educational institutions within the framework of the dual education system allows many participants of student teams to work at enterprises for six months or longer, and after graduation — to remain there on a permanent basis. A striking example of a career start is the story of Ulyana Dolgova, a graduate of the Almetyevsk Polytechnic College. Even in her final year, she joined an enterprise as part of a student team, and after graduation, she continued to work there permanently. Now, the young woman has been working for a year and a half in the field of anti-corrosion protection of equipment — in a direction that is traditionally considered predominantly male. Since 2024, Almetyevsk has hosted the All-Russian Forum of Student Teams in the Oil Extraction Industry twice with the support of Russian Student Teams. Over two years, the event has brought together more than 250 young people from 16 regions of Russia. The coordination of the direction in Tatarstan is handled by the student teams of the republic. The work of student teams in the region is carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and aligns with the goals of the national project "Youth and Children."
