      Four children were injured in an accident on the highway in the Laishevsky district of the republic.       At the DRKB, four boys were taken from the accident site with injuries of varying severity. Doctors diagnosed concussions and a compression fracture. "The children were examined in the emergency room by specialists, and additional examinations were conducted. They have injuries of varying severity. Their condition is assessed as moderate," assured Mikhail Pospelov, the deputy chief physician for surgical assistance at the DRKB.

      By the evening, it became known that four young athletes were discharged from the hospital. Parents refused hospitalization. The children's health is not in danger.

      This morning, 12 hockey players from the Moscow club "Rus" were traveling to Kazan for a match at the Sports Palace. On the "Kazan — Orenburg — Borovoe Matyushino" highway, a foreign car crashed into the bus. After the head-on collision, the bus flew into a ditch and overturned.

      "The driver of the 2002 Ford Focus, according to preliminary data, fell asleep at the wheel, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a Ford Transit vehicle that was transporting 12 children. As a result, four children were taken to the hospital, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated," reported Rail Islamov, head of the traffic police department of the Laishevsky district.

      Personal belongings of the hockey players remained in the cabin — a hat, hockey gloves, and an uneaten candy. The driver of the car was not injured — the airbags deployed.

      The car is currently being towed from the accident site. If you look closely, there are traces on the ground from the bus that overturned and fell into the ditch. And here is the bus itself. As can be seen, the side part was severely damaged.

      "On July 30, 2026, an accident occurred in the Laishevsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles: violation of traffic rules and provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. The progress of the investigation is under the control of the supervisory authority," commented Adelya Gainutdinova, senior assistant prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan for interaction with the media and the public.

      Now law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the incident, and the Moscow hockey team "Rus" has decided to return home.
