The Kazan TV tower will turn on festive lighting in honor of the 25th anniversary of RTRS.

      The Kazan TV tower will join the parade of architectural and artistic lighting in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS), which will be celebrated next week on August 13. This was reported by the Radio Television Transmission Center of the Republic of Tatarstan – a branch of RTRS. The parade will take place across the RTRS network "until August 13." From 8 PM to 11 PM, a bright light-dynamic show and a scrolling message "Happy Birthday RTRS," "25 years of RTRS – Happy Anniversary" will be displayed on the media facade of the TV tower. In 2024, the TV tower was equipped with new architectural and artistic lighting with a media facade, which allowed it to become a hallmark of the capital of Tatarstan and improve the aesthetic appearance of the city. RTRS is the main operator of communication services for regional broadcasters, and its activities are of strategic importance for ensuring the defense capability, security, and technological sovereignty of the state, contributing to the realization of citizens' constitutional right to receive information. Established by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2001, the system-forming enterprise united 79 radio and television centers into a single production and technological complex and became a natural monopoly in the field of communications.
