       The construction of the "Aero Bridge" cable car in Kazan may begin in 2027. According to experts, the project's cost will be around 6 billion rubles.

       The implementation of the ambitious "Aero Bridge" cable car project in the capital of Tatarstan, which has been discussed since 2009, is approaching the practical stage. As reported to the publication "BUSINESS Online" by the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, construction may start in 2027. For this, the investor still needs to obtain a positive conclusion from the Main State Expert Review, a construction permit, and arrange for the land plot. In early autumn, the investor plans to apply to the AIR for a request to lease the plot without bidding, and if the investment council makes a positive decision this year, the arrangement will take place. The publication notes that the project's cost has risen to 6 billion rubles by 2025. A full-scale presentation will be held later. It is worth recalling that a modern version of the route from Gorky Park to "Ak Bars Arena" was presented back in December 2021, initially planning to open the road costing 3 billion rubles in 2023, but the deadlines were shifted due to the need for route coordination and passing environmental expertise. Earlier, it was reported that Tatarstan retained its place in the top ten Russian regions in terms of the turnover of public catering establishments for the period of January-May 2026, despite a nationwide decline in traffic in this sector. According to the data released by Rosstat, the total revenue of restaurants, cafes, bars, and canteens in the region amounted to 45.7 billion rubles over the five months of the current year.
