       The Republic of Tatarstan is considering the possibility of creating a unique specialized site on its territory, which should become a real center for the development of unmanned aviation and related technologies.

       As reported by the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, during the Russian-Chinese forum "Sprouts," the concept of the so-called "drone offshore" involves launching a regulatory "sandbox." According to him, an experimental legal regime can already be introduced in the territory of Innopolis, as the space and necessary competencies for this are fully ready. However, an even greater economic effect will be achieved by combining the regulatory "sandbox" with tax and customs preferences provided for residents of special economic zones, particularly of the industrial-production type. Minnikhanov emphasized that conditions for testing ground autonomous transport have already been created in the SEZ "Alabuga," and more than 50 enterprises in the republic are involved in the production of autonomous systems and components. Thanks to a developed scientific school in Tatarstan, a full production cycle of drones can be organized, including software and artificial intelligence. Currently, 37 drones are used for monitoring forest fire safety, and this year agricultural drones are planned to process 100 thousand hectares of land. Deputy Head of Rosaviation Andrey Potemkin, answering journalists' questions, stated that drones are actively used for aerial photography, monitoring power lines, and cadastral work. Among the promising areas, he mentioned the delivery of goods for the last and middle mile, which will actively develop in the medium term, and in the long term – air taxi using unmanned technologies. It was previously reported that a viewing platform with glass fencing and lighting will appear in Gorky Park in Kazan.
