      Tomorrow in the capital of Tatarstan, as part of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of Russia, competitions in kayaking and canoeing will begin. It should be noted that the tournament will take place among the strongest athletes without an upper age limit. Today, a press conference was held. Among those present were the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the President of the Federation of Kayaking and Canoeing Oleg Korobchenko, Olympic Games medalist, multiple world and European champion, honored master of sports Alexander Kostoglod, the Deputy Secretary General of the Canoe Federation of Russia Nikolai Mordvin, as well as the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic Ildar Sadriyev. All the strongest athletes will come to the tournament, including multiple world champions Ivan Shtil and Zakhar Petrov. The local federation also plans to create four kayaking and canoeing schools in the republic – in Kazan, Zainsk, Nizhnekamsk, and Naberezhnye Chelny. Additionally, the tournament will take place at the Center for Water Sports from September 2 to 4.
