      The Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Mikhail Degtyarev, held a meeting in Bishkek with the special envoy of the U.S. President for global partnership, Paolo Zampolli. The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the World Nomad Games. The main topic was the preparation of Russian athletes for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Degtyarev noted that the dialogue is constructive, and both sides are using every opportunity to find common ground to cleanse sports of politics. "The leitmotif of our meeting today is the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028, for which Russian athletes are actively preparing," the minister wrote on his Telegram channel. The Olympics in Los Angeles will take place from July 14 to 30, 2028.
