      During the week from August 24 to August 31, prices for a number of food products decreased in Tatarstan. Beef became cheaper by 0.1% — to 719 rubles per kg, chickens — by 0.39% (to 233.98 rubles per kg), butter — by 0.16% (to 922.8 rubles). This was reported by Tatarstanstat. The largest price decrease was recorded for rice — by 4.4% (to 79.59 rubles per kg) and potatoes — by 2.9% (to 55.93 rubles per kg). Apples also became cheaper (by 0.8%, to 133.22 rubles per kg), tomatoes (by 0.9%, to 125.22 rubles), boiled-smoked sausage (by 0.2%) and tea (by 0.7%). At the same time, prices for sugar increased by 0.6% (to 80.99 rubles per kg), millet — by 1.1% (to 46.85 rubles), sour cream — by 0.3%, milk — by 0.5%, and cottage cheese — by 0.2%. Sausages became more expensive by 0.3%, boiled sausage — by 0.3%, bananas — by 0.7%. The price of vodka remained unchanged at 881 rubles per liter over the week.
