Zainsk is hosting the Republic of Tatarstan’s Summer Championship for ski racers.

      Today, at the Yalta-Zai Sports Training Center, the Summer Championship of the Republic of Tatarstan among ski racers born in 2008–2013 began. The competition will feature 454 ski racers from 27 teams.

      Taking part in the opening of the competition were Deputy Head of the Zainsk Municipal District Urazaykin Petr Sergeyevich; First Vice-President of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Mazitov Almaz Ilgizovich; Vice-President of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Kashapov Almaz Vakhitovich; Director of the branch of the Joint-Stock Company “Setevaya Kompaniya” “Naberezhnye Chelny Electric Networks” Sharonov Eduard Pavlovich; member of the Presidium of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation of Russia Galeev Eduard Shaikhnurovich; Director of the Directorate for Consumer Services, branch of JSC “Setevaya Kompaniya” Galimov Almaz Ibragimovich; Director of the branch of JSC “Setevaya Kompaniya” “Almetyevsk Electric Networks” Ogurtsov Sergey Vladimirovich; General Manager of the Regional Public Organization “Cross-Country Skiing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan” Sabitov Artur Evgenyevich; Executive Manager of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Blokhin Denis Anatolyevich; sports veteran Sheblov Gennady Mikhailovich; and Director of the Yalta-Zai Sports Training Center and Competition Director Ogurtsova Bella Ivanovna.

      As part of the opening ceremony, coach-teacher of the Sports School of the Olympic Reserve named after Olympic champion F.P. Simashev, Gabidullin Rakif Marsovich, was honored. He was awarded the honorary title “Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.”
