When driving in fog, avoid unnecessary lane changes, overtaking, and passing. Most road traffic accidents in foggy conditions involve the vehicle moving ahead of you. It is important to keep in mind that fog reduces perceived distance – it is advisable to increase the usual following distance and reduce speed.
Avoid sudden braking: if you need to stop, reduce speed smoothly. Press the brake pedal several times to give a signal warning drivers behind you. Driving in fog increases driver fatigue; extra caution will not be excessive.
When driving a car in conditions of poor visibility, refrain from unnecessary lane changes, overtaking, and passing.

In case of wind strengthening:
1. We recommend limiting leaving buildings; stay indoors. It is important not to leave children unattended.
2. If strong wind overtakes you outdoors, we recommend sheltering in underground passages or building entrance ways. Do not shelter from strong wind near building walls, as roofing slate and other roofing materials may fall from roofs. The same applies to public transport stops and unfinished buildings.
3. On the street, stay away from advertising billboards, signs, road signs, and power lines.
4. Do not stand near large trees, and do not park vehicles next to them – wind-blown branches can pose great danger.
5. It is deadly dangerous during strong winds to stand under power lines or to approach downed power wires.
6. Broken window glass falling from upper floors, as well as roofing elements and decorative molding torn off by the wind, can be dangerous. This threat increases near buildings under construction or repair.
7. All windows of homes should be tightly closed; remove items from balconies and loggias that could fall outside.
8. Stay as far away from windows as possible in a residential or work premises.
