After the summer holidays, the federal program "School of Recycling: Electronics" has resumed in the Republic of Tatarstan; it is being carried out in support of the national project "Environmental Well‑being."
Schools, kindergartens, any budgetary institutions and government bodies can participate and hand in used electronics for free. To do this, you need to register on the official website of the Foundation for Rational Nature Management and submit an application to participate: https://eko-fond.ru/electronics/.
You can hand in for recycling:
• computer and office equipment;
• household appliances (including washing machines and refrigerators);
• power tools;
• scientific and medical equipment;
• phones and personal gadgets;
• electronic and electrical toys;
• cartridges (should not exceed 10% of the volume of the equipment being handed in).

Tatarstan is one of the most active participants in the program. Based on the results of 2024, the republic took second place in the "Regions‑Leaders" category, second only to the Moscow Region. This year residents sent 63.4 tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment for recycling. That amount was submitted by 114 organizations from 21 districts of the republic.
Recall, the "School of Recycling: Electronics" program has been implemented in Tatarstan since 2022 under an agreement with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Its main goal is to reduce harm to the environment from improper disposal of electronic equipment and to foster a responsible approach to handling hazardous waste.
